PRAYING FOR OTHERS As you spend time praying in the Spirit, in other tongues, you may begin to sense the condition or needs of others; this can seem so real to you that you might think that what you are sensing actually pertains to you, but you are really sensing the condition or need of another. (If you don’t understand this, the enemy may try to tell you that something is wrong with you; he may try to make you unsettled or fearful that what you are sensing is something pertaining to you, when it pertains to another. The enemy is trying to distract you out of faith, and from your spirit and into the mental arena, but stay in the spirit arena.) When you do sense the condition or the need of another, just continue to pray in the Spirit until it lifts. During Jesus’ earthly ministry, we see His compassion for the people. He was moved with compassion for the sick and for those in need; His compassion brought deliverance (Matt. 14:14, Matt. 15:32, Matt. 20:34).
