Publishing is Changing

After over twenty six years in the publishing industry, and after helping to produce and distribute over seven million books , I must admit to feeling a bit amazed at how much the publishing industry changes each year.With the advent of the Print on Demand presses, many more titles are now fighting for less and less bookstore time. You see, Amazon's success has put thousands of mom and pop bookstores out of business. Some call that change; I call it unfortunate.At any rate, the way books are sold demands new ideas, and many of our authors are starting to recognize that publishing the book is just one step in many towards the goal of selling books.In this new era, may God grant you the grace and the persistence to stay the course!
