Why Books Don't Sell

This morning I was wondering, "What do so many authors give up on their books just months after publication?" I believe the answers rest in unreasonable expectations.Here are a few facts for you to consider about publishers in general, and about Christian publishing (such as CSN Books , and secular publishing, such as Legacy Line Publishing).Once a book is released, UNLESS the publisher has put up a large amount of money for promotion, the book will sit without some sort of plan.To help promote your book, your plan needs to start with YOU - you wrote the book, you love it, and you feel it is worthy to talk about.So talk.Visit any local venue where you can share your story - hospitals, various clubs in your hometown, libraries, etc. Just because you are an author who wrote the book, don't expect the publishing company to do the rest. We need your help!
