Children are trained first by watching you. They will not rise much above what you do and believe. We must plug the leaks in the home by monitoring what they watch on TV, monitoring what game they are playing on Nintendo, monitoring what videos and movies they can watch. They will dream about what they see and hear the most. When my son was on the couch the other day I asked, “What are you thinking?” He was thinking about the last movie he watched. Wherever the leaks are, that is what keeps the desire for immoral things alive in the hearts of our kids, and the things of God grow strangely dim.
